Going through some old photos and putting them “out there”. This is the second in a new series of posts that is going to highlight some photos and the area where they were taken. Most of these posts are going to be for areas that are easily accessible from Raleigh, NC.
Currituck Beach lighthouse is a bit further out from Raleigh than Hemlock Bluffs. In fact, it’d be a stretch to even visit it as part of a day trip. Regardless, enough people from the area go to the Outer Banks to visit the beautiful beaches each summer that this should prove useful. In addition to the amount of people who visit for the beaches, there are also a good number of people who just like to visit these lighthouses in general.
Finding the lighthouse is easy as. Keep your eyes open and look above the treeline and the final few turns will take care of themselves.
Do note, there is a fee to climb to the top of this lighthouse. It is currently $7/person for individuals over 7 years old. Visiting the grounds is free for everyone.
